Well, I thought this may go over my head for a minute, but then the light bulb went off, and I'm happy it did. I'm so grateful you read this book for me and then taught me something from it.

The psychological need for narrative is undeniable, but I'm skeptical that pornographization is the final stage of competition in the battle to control what is believed and acted upon demotically. Does pornographization not ultimately cheapen a beautifully woven narrative impregnated with truth and beauty? All who know the satisfaction of a climax that produces a unique human life may find an easier faith in the truth of this recognition, but I think most can at least understand and appreciate such a position. The thirst for meaning and purpose that we all have by virtue of our nature will never be slaked for those unwilling to journey off the porno path of least resistance. This intrinsic motivation lurking ubiquitously whispers that there is hope for the many to take the unbeaten path. The better such a path can be illuminated, the better our chances of achieving the human singularity. Just my .02, thanks for the thought provoking read as I've not the bandwidth to be berated for 300 pages atm!
